The US-China Cultural and Art Exchange Association was established in Manhattan, New York in October 1992. It is the earliest institution in the United States to conduct cultural and educational exchanges with China, signed by the US Secretary of State, notarized by the State Council, and certified by the Chinese Embassy in the United States. Ji Chaozhu, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Ding Wei (currently Deputy Minister of Culture) attended the establishment ceremony.
The association is composed of a group of artists from China who are determined to promote Chinese national culture into mainstream American society. For more than 30 years, the association has devotedly worked on the soil of cultural exchange between China and the United States, and has shed countless sweat. Especially in the early days of the differences in politics, economy, and customs between the two countries, the association endured humiliation and successfully completed the mission entrusted by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and the tasks entrusted by many American societies and schools with perseverance, pioneering, integrity, and the spirit of daring to take risks. With its patriotism, integrity and friendship, the association has contributed money and effort to help 68 domestic groups visit the United States and build their reputations, and has done a lot of matchmaking and media publicity work, so that they can return with a full load.
Since 2005, the association has worked hard for cooperative education between American universities, high schools and China, and has successfully matched sister schools, 2 2 and exchange students.
